Hello H2CWorld-dreamers!
Today we want to eplain more about religion. Ghana is very religious but also very open. The main religions are Christian and Muslim. During Independence Day the Muslim, Christian and Traditional priests shared the same space and moment to pray.
Many families have Muslim and Christian members, this is why we want to show this nice harmony that Ghana experiences regarding religion.
About the Muslims, the mean stream you can find in the south are the Ahmediyya. They originally come from India and Pakistan. In the 1920s they arrived in Ghana and have established themselves since then in peace. Ekrawfo is actually the first base in the south of Ghana. The Ahmediyya are not always recognized as pure Muslims by other Muslim groups as they differ in 2 main points. The Ahmediyyas are very numerous in Asia (Malasya, Indonesia…) and in Ghana.
It is very nice to talk about religion with them, as they are very open-minded even with non-religious ways of thinking.
