Day 1: the arrival

Hi H2CWorld-dreamers!

After 8 months of preparation we arrived in Ghana! It has been a exciting first day with already a lot to tell you all. we arrived at 1 pm after our 'plane tour around Africa'.

We took a trotro (tipycal bus to get around in the cities) to the Nkrumah Circle in the centre, were we found a cute hostel. We however completely forgot that it was sunday and everything is closed, luckily this was not a problems as the Ghanaian hospitality helped us to get around. After walking around and bumping ito many 'random dancing people' (there were many street parties we didn't understand) we found a very relaxing local place to have dinner.

In the patio of our hostel we got caught in a nice conversation with Togbi Gobah who has put us in contact with his sun from the Volta Region, Papa Gobah. By the way he knows the king of the Ashanti.

So we are off to a great start ;) don't you think?
